Join Brad Lopes, Education & Public Program Manager for the Aquinnah Cultural Center, to explore the history of Nôepe. Drawing from both oral traditions and historical sources, this presentation examines the Island’s landscapes and history, while highlighting the enduring presence of Wampanoag people. Participants will also consider common misconceptions about land use, ownership, and Indigenous history, and gain a deeper understanding of the communities that continue to shape the Island today.
