WHAT IS THE NORTHEAST INDIGENOUS ARTISTS HOLIDAY MARKET?

This is a virtual market utilizing the Facebook group "Northeast Indigenous Artists Holiday Market" as a platform. It was created in 2020 by the Aquinnah Cultural Center (ACC) and Northeast Indigenous Artist Alliance (NIAA) to help support Indigenous artists in a safe, socially distant manner.

Sales will begin on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 9:00am EST and conclude on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 11:59pm EST.

 

HOW DOES THE MARKET WORK?

Indigenous artists from the Northeast will participate BY INVITATION ONLY. Invited artists post their own original artwork for sale or links to websites selling their original artwork on the Northeast Indigenous Artists Holiday Market Facebook page. Please note: this market is limited to original artwork created by the person posting ONLY. The group admins reserve the right to remove any artist from the group that is found to be posting artwork for sale that they did not create.

HOW DO PURCHASES WORK?

Artists are responsible for completing their own transactions. Buyers will comment on items posted by artists in order to purchase. Payment method will be agreed upon (Paypal, Venmo, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Square, check, etc) and upon receiving payment, Artist will ship the item or arrange for safe local pickup. All are welcome to join the group to purchase.

VIRTUAL MARKET GUIDELINES:

1. Artists may only post items for sale that they have personally created.

2. Buyer and Artist will work out payment and shipping/local pick-up arrangements. The Admin, ACC and NIAA are not responsible for any refunds or disputes.

3. Artists communicate clearly with buyers about sales and shipping expectations and provide tracking information for purchases.

4. The page ADMIN reserves the right to approve or deny any posts that are deemed inappropriate or to remove any participant for posting artwork they did not create for sale or for disrespectful language/behavior.
