The Permanent Endowment of MV has provided assistance towards creating "crafting kits." These kits, sent to Tribal Members, make traditional crafting accessible; providing all the necessary materials and detailed instructions on how to make the craft.

NEA funding has helped the ACC collect, and create space for the sharing of, traditional knowledge for the Wampanoag People. The ACC will also be working on physical installations to tell our history, as well as the creation and maintenance of an artisans database.

Aquinnah Cultural Outreach Digital Humanities Projects - funding awarded to the Aquinnah Cultural Center to expand outreach activities to deliver an Indigenous Authors and Cultural Demonstration Series online to 3,500 participants, create a Walking Tour of the Aquinnah homeland, and create an Interactive Digital Map to display traditional knowledge. Recorded presentations and other videos will be available to additional participants after the live programs take place.

ACC is proud and grateful to be one of 15 organizations selected by the Barr Foundation and Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts for a 6-year “Powering Cultural Futures” capacity building partnership. This program is targeted towards uplifting cultural expression in Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. More can be found on our partnership below.
